What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, and provides a multi-tiered system for teaching positive behavior. This research based, school wide system, focuses on teaching and rewarding positive behavior and aims to prevent behavior problems.
At North Godwin, we look to demonstrate STAR behavior. We expect all students and staff to:
When students are caught showing STAR behavior, they are awarded a STAR ticket. Their ticket then goes into a bi-monthly raffle where 10 winners are picked from each grade level to win a prize. Prizes that we have had so far include: extra computer time, free play in the gym, wearing a hat to school, and extra recess.

Twice a month our school comes together for our STAR assemblies. During our assembly, we celebrate our STAR winners and focus on the True Success character trait for the month.
